WellnessWORKS Farmers Market is produced by Diverse Markets Management (DMM) in partnership with the US Government.  The Market is part of the WellnessWORKS initiative, a program to educate and stimulate federal government employees about health and wellness issues, based on Michelle Obama’s directive.  It is held each Wednesday at the DC campus of the OPM buildings as a pilot program that will then expand nationwide to all government agencies and buildings. The market is intended to showcase and provide healthy foods and nutritional items for people.  Additionally, the intention is to highlight sustainability by featuring only locally grown or produced products.    The market is $270 for the season for farmers, $540 for agricultural products and $1100 for prepared food vendors to participate.  Space is extremely limited.
