The Southwest Waterfront Fireworks Festival Very Cherry Marketplace is produced by The National Cherry Blossom Festival, Washington Waterfront Association and Hoffman-Madison Waterfront in partnership with Diverse Markets Management (DMM).  The Southwest Waterfront Community, home of the Cherry Blossoms, salutes the Centennial Celebration with seven celebratory hours of free music, water-related activities, and cultural experiences; an arts and merchandise market with DC’s best food trucks and a beer garden; and four performance areas featuring live entertainment concluding with a Fireworks Spectacular over the historic Washington Channel on Saturday April 7, 2012.

EVENT HOURS:
Advertised hours for the market will be 2pm to 9pm.

LOCATION:     Southwest Waterfront at 600-900 Water Street, SW along the historic Washington Channel accessible by Metro (L’Enfant Plaza or Waterfront-SEU) walking, bike or car.

 

PARTICIPANTS:The festival will feature 25 high quality arts, crafts and import exhibitors as well as specialty food vendors.  Cherry Blossom themed products will rate highly.

SPACES:             10’x10’ tented spaces are available.  All participants are expected to display their products in a professional and inviting way.  Individual signage is encouraged. The event will provide 10x10 tents with lighting for each participant.  Vendors supply their own tables and other display items.

FEES:             Exhibitor spaces are $225.  Food vending spaces are $300.  A $30 application fee is required.  

 

AMENITIES:   Tents, lighting and easy load-in and load out access are provided. Convenient parking is nearby.  Postcards will be provided to advertise the market. Extensive regional and national promotions will be part of The National Cherry Blossom Festival campaign.  Listed as a "Signature Event" at www.nationalcherryblossomfestival.org

  LOADING:       Load-in hours are 11am-1pm.  Load-out hours are 9-10pm.
