A New Fall Mixed Market is Coming to Tysons!

DMM in conjunction with the Tysons Community Alliance is excited to announce the launch of its inaugural Tysons Fall Mixed Market. The market, which is in partnership with The Boro, will take place in the parking lot next to The Boro’s Sandlot. Every Wednesday from September 20^th through October 25^th, local makers, artisans, and prepared food vendors will be selling their creations from 3-7 pm. go to: https://tysonsva.org/event/tysons-fall-mixed-market/.

Tysons is one of the fastest growing communities in the region. The urban center is home to over 29,000 residents, with 15,000 more people projected to call Tysons home by 2030. In addition, hundreds of businesses, restaurants, and retailers are located within the center’s boundaries. Tysons Community Alliance, a newly formed community improvement organization, has been tasked with further catalyzing the district’s growth and ensuring it is done with community in mind. The Alliance seeks to accomplish this through four key focus areas: Marketing and Branding, Placemaking and Events, Transportation and Mobility, and Research and Economic Development. The Tysons Fall Mixed Market is another way in which the organization seeks to cultivate community and support local businesses.

The Boro is one of the fastest growing mixed-use developments in Tysons. It is home to numerous restaurants and bars, businesses, and residences. Overseen by The Meridian Group, The Boro also hosts several events throughout the year. Activations include fitness classes, live music, Oktoberfest, and more. EVENT HOURS: Advertised hours for the Market will be from 3-7pm each Wednesday.

The Boro is located steps from the Greensboro Metro Station on the Silver Line and has direct access to all major highways – Capital Beltway (I-495), I-66, Dulles Toll Road, Route 7 and Route 123.

EXHIBITORS:   This will be a juried mixed market intended to feature a diverse assortment of food products, including a large farmer stand of seasonal produce and fruit, diverse producers ranging from breads, sweets, bath & beauty, and pickled items to food stands serving hot prepared foods to eat on site.  Local entrepreneurial vendors exhibiting unique crafts are also welcome.  Products of interest include: art, craft, textiles, handmade jewelry, beauty/bath, and other local and handcrafted products. Only pre-approved products will be allowed to be displayed. DMM reserves the right to restrict or reject any exhibitor with products deemed unsuitable.

SPACES: The market area accommodates 25 or more exhibitors with 10x10 spaces or larger. Exhibitors provide their own tents. Tents not provided by market.

LOADING:  A loading area will be adjacent to the market area. Arrive between 2-4pm.  Staff will show you to your space.

SALES TAX:  Each exhibitor is responsible for collecting and reporting VA Sales Tax.
